Mikroe MIKROE-3149 Accel 5 Click

Mikroe MIKROE-3149 Accel 5 Click features a Bosch BMA400 ultralow power triaxial accelerometer sensor. This board allows linear motion and gravitational force measurements in ranges of ±2 g, ±4 g, ±8, and ±16g in three perpendicular axes. Mikroe Accel 5 Click can output an interrupt for many different events, including tap, double tap, step counting, activity recognition (walk, run, stand still), activity change (any type of acceleration pattern change), orientation, and more. The BMA400 sensor offers extremely low power consumption. The board features onboard data processing, offering the acceleration data directly over a standard I2C or SPI interface.

Features

  • Advanced interrupt engine allows detection of various events
  • Ultralow power consumption allows use in always-on IoT and wearable applications
  • Auto wakeup/auto low power mode based on the interrupt event
  • Thermal readings are also available

Applications

  • Display orientation
  • HID applications
  • Drop detection applications (for warranty logging)
  • Pedometers
  • Step counters
  • Other applications that rely on reliable acceleration and motion-sensing
