Type 4X, 6P Polycarbonate ABS Enclosures

Hammond Manufacturing Type 4X, 6P Polycarbonate and General-Purpose ABS Enclosures are designed for mounting printed circuit boards or DIN rail-mounted components. The 1554 series features light gray enclosures with a gasket lid, which has a two-piece "tongue and groove" construction to protect against oil, dust, and water. The ABS versions are molded from general-purpose material, which carries a flammability rating of UL 94-HB (for indoor use). The polycarbonate enclosures are UV-stabilized for outdoor use. The gray polycarbonate lid carries a UL 94-5VA rating, while clear and smoked lids carry a UL94V-0 rating. The polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed (File # E65324) and designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12, and 13 ratings, which meet and exceed IP ratings up to and including IP68. The ABS plastic versions are designed to meet IP66.
