This cost-effective solution offers a superior and proven sealed panel-mounted connector that delivers an oil-resistant connection for sealed wire-to-wire and wire-to-board configurations in oil-cooled motors and related resolver/transformer and negative temperature coefficient (NTC) temperature sensors.
The Molex MX150 pass-through sealed connectors, available from Mouser Electronics, incorporate the rugged and field-tested MX150 form factor to help make design assembly simpler and secure while offering a reduced package size over traditional USCAR connectors. The devices have a maximum voltage of 14VDC and a maximum current of 12A. They are configured based on a 12-circuit, dual-row stackable 2-by-3 connector design, including a connector for the temperature sensor assembly and a connector for the rotary transformer assembly. The stackable design provides procurement flexibility and reduces supply chain risks compared to other solutions.
These high-performance, high-efficiency, sealed panel-mounted connectors ensure quick and accurate mating for 1.50mm terminal systems, and their rugged and reliable operation delivers reliable performance under extreme temperatures, varying degrees of vibration and exposure to moisture and chemicals. The connectors feature an IP6K9K and GMW3191-S3 seal rating and GMW3191-V5 vibration rating per GWM3191 standards. Superior sealing performance is obtained using potting in the terminal interface and a unique two-ring seal option that delivers improved reliability and ensures consistent connectivity over single-ring-sealed connectors. The two-lip ring seal design provides a more solid seal, and the connectors’ anti-oil seal makes them ideal for oil-cooled motor applications.
Molex's MX150 pass-through sealed connectors feature a single-piece housing for simplified assembly, brushing mounting, integrated terminal position assurance (TPA) to prevent terminal back-out, and polarized housings to prevent mis-mating.
