Würth Elektronik WR-SMP Miniature Connectors
Würth Elektronik WR-SMP Miniature Connectors offer both slide-in and snap-on features, which provide a fully compatible interconnect application up to 18GHz. The SMP connector interface is in accordance with MIL-STD-348 and is intermateable with GPO connectors. Würth Elektronik offers a full range of SMP connectors, including PCB connectors, cable connectors, bullet adapters, and pre-assembled cable assemblies with 0.47" and 0.85" for both flexible and hand-formable cables.
There are three interfaces designed for the SMP plugs to satisfy the different retention requirements. The interfaces include:
• Full dent: maximum retention for high vibration resistance
• Limited dent: medium to low retention
• Smooth bore: lowest retention achieved with sliding contacts for modular systems and application
The SMP connector is also designed for board-to-board applications achieved by the adapter, also known as the bullet connecting two modules between the bullet adapter. This component design allows axial and radial misalignments mechanically.
