Vishay Semiconductors VCNL4035X01 Proximity & Ambient Light Sensor

Vishay Semiconductors VCNL4035X01 Proximity and Ambient Light Sensor is designed for gesture recognition. The sensor incorporates ambient light and proximity photodiodes, multiplexer, amplifiers, analog/digital circuits, and an I2C interface in a single chip. The VCNL4035X01 does not include infrared emitters, but it does have a driver for up to three external emitters. One emitter enables proximity sensing, while two emitters enable left and right swipe gesture recognition, and three emitters enable more intricate gestures such as circular motion.
