Texas Instruments OPA593EVM Op Amp Evaluation Module (EVM)
Texas Instruments OPA593EVM Op Amp Evaluation Module (EVM) provides a platform to evaluate the OPA593 high-voltage, high-current operational amplifier. Multiple component footprints allow the most common op amp circuit configurations, including an improved Howland current pump. The evaluation module PCB layout and footprints can accommodate variations on these circuit designs by applying some imagination. With this evaluation module, the Texas Instruments OPA593EVM can easily be configured as a non-inverting, inverting, difference amplifier, or improved Howland current pump (V-to-I converter). The user’s circuit is realized on a 13.4cm wide × 10.8cm long × 3.2cm tall PCB assembly that accommodates the OPA593DNT in a 12-lead, 4mm × 4mm, SON (12) package. The evaluation module PCB top, internal, and bottom copper patterns, beneath and extending outward from the package are optimized as an effective heat sink. The board design transfers heat from the op amp to the surrounding copper and then to the air, helping cool the op amp die.
