NXP Semiconductors USB Connectivity Devices
NXP Semiconductors USB Connectivity Devices allow system designers to implement USB connectivity from the processor to the board and beyond. A fully featured family enables both the power and data paths for a highly customizable solution. The devices are available in small footprint packages designed to minimize space, enabling tightly space-constrained applications.
Power Delivery
The NXP Semiconductors Power Delivery PHYs enable USB Type-C® Configuration Channel interfacing and support bidirectional Power Delivery (PD) up to 100W. For non-PD ports, the CC interface devices allow up to 15W USB Type-C connectivity, with support for USB Type-C alternate modes such as audio and video. A robust family of smart load switches and protection devices, independent from the controllers, allows engineers to tailor the power paths to the specific needs of the application.
Re-Drivers and Conditioners
The NXP Semiconductors Signal Conditioners and Re-Drivers are designed to enhance signal quality, enable longer PCB traces, and support off-board connections in applications using USB 3.0, 3.0 SuperSpeed, and 3.1. The eUSB2 re-driver family enables advanced SoCs with low-voltage process nodes to interface with legacy USB 2.0 signals at higher voltages, and vice versa, ensuring compatibility of long-standing solutions with the latest SoCs and processors for years to come. The eUSB2 re-drivers are also available in automotive versions.
