NXP Semiconductors S08SU16-EVK Reference Board

NXP Semiconductors S08SU16-EVK Evaluation Board with Sensorless BLDC (Brushless DC) Control is designed to demonstrate the functionality of NXP's highly-integrated 8-bit S08 microcontroller MC9S08SU16. With the full schematic available, this reference design can be used as an evaluation kit for S08SU MCUs to facilitate faster project development. The S08SU16-EVK offers serial communications, flash programming, and run-control debugging. This Evaluation Board is focused on demonstrating an easy-to-understand and straightforward control approach to a low-power, 3-phase, Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor Drive application, using Back Electromotive Force (BEMF) sensing for position recognition. The NXP Semiconductors S08SU16-EVK is an ideal example of a BLDC Motor Control System for drone ESC applications.
