Microchip Technology VSC8x & VSC7x Single Port Ethernet Transceivers
Microchip Technology VSC8x and VSC7x Single Port Ethernet Transceivers are low-power, small form-factor Cu PHY with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE). The transceivers are available in small 6mm x 6mm or 8mm x 8mm single row QFN packages. The transceivers feature Wake-on-LAN (WoL) which offers wide I/O LVCMOS support. These devices also include integrated line-side termination to conserve board space, lower EMI, and improve system performance.The VSC8x and VSC7x Microchip Technology Single Port Ethernet Transceivers feature RGMII version 2.0 standard timing compliant compensation which eliminates the need for onboard delay lines. These Single Port Ethernet Transceivers support a wide range of LVCMOS levels for a parallel MAC interface including 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V. Additionally, 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V support the MDIO/MDC interface. The VSC8x and VSC7x Transceivers include Microchip EcoEthernet™ 2.0 technology with Energy Efficient Ethernet and power-saving features. These features reduce power based on link-state and cable reach. Also, the VSC8x and VSC7x Transceivers optimize power consumption at all link operating speeds and feature Wake-on-LAN power management using magic packets.
