Microchip Technology MIC28514 Evaluation Board (ADM00804)

Microchip Technology MIC28514 Evaluation Board (ADM00804) is a demonstration and development platform for the MIC28514 Switching Voltage Regulator. The  MIC28514  is an adaptive on-time synchronous DC-DC buck regulator with an external soft-start feature. This regulator is capable of providing up to 5A output current from an input voltage supply range of 4.5V to 75.0V.

The Microchip Technology MIC28514 Evaluation Board provides a reference design for a constant frequency synchronous buck controller circuit based on the MIC28514 Switching Voltage Regulator. The Evaluation Board features a unique adaptive on-time control architecture. This Evaluation Board operates within the supply range of 4.5V to 75V and provides an output down to 0.6V maintaining ±1% accuracy. The device operates with a programmable switching frequency from  270kHz to 800kHz.

Features

  • Soft Start (SS) time selection pin that allows adjusting the output SS time
  • Features auxiliary bootstrap Low Dropout (LDO)
  • Logic level Enable (EN) signal to enable or disable the controller
  • Starts up monotonically into a pre-biased output
  • Open-drain Power Good (PG) signal that signals when output is in regulation

Specifications

  • 10V to 75V input voltage range
  • 0.8V, 1.2V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V, and 12V six selectable output voltages
