Diodes Incorporated API21550 Isolated High-Side/Low-Side Gate Drivers

Diodes Inc. API21550 Isolated High-Side/Low-Side Gate Drivers provide up to 4A/6A peak source/sink driving capability. Depending on the operating conditions, the API21550 offers 5V, 8V, and 12V VDD UVLO options for driving GaN, MOSFET, and IGBT/SIC. The API21550 operates with a maximum VDD supply voltage of 30V, while the input side operates from 3V to 5.5V.

The API21550 is designed to transfer an input signal to an output drive signal with a short propagation delay and minimum pulse-width distortion. It also provides shoot-through protection with programmable dead time, and the external disable function improves the flexibility for the application. An integrated 5ns deglitch filter effectively makes the driver immune to noise interference.

The Diodes Inc. API21550 provides 5700VRMS reinforced isolation in SO-16W (Type CJ)/SO-14W (Type CJ) packages, and 3000VRMS basic isolation in SO-16 (Type CJ) packages. All models can achieve at least 150V/ns common-mode transient immunity (CMTI). API21550 in SO-14W (Type CJ) package offers a 3.38mm minimum channel-to-channel spacing for the secondary side for better functional isolation.
