Analog Devices Inc. ADRF6521 Dual Variable Gain Amplifier
Analog Devices Inc. ADRF6521 Dual Variable Gain Amplifier (VGA) provides full differential, low noise, and low distortion. The high spurious-free dynamic range over the gain range makes the ADRF6521 VGAs ideal for communication systems with dense constellations, multiple carriers, and nearby interferers. The ADI ADRF6521 Dual VGA features a 21dB attenuation range with a typical voltage gain of 18dB, differential input impedance of 100Ω, differential output impedance of 16Ω, and ±1dB gain flatness bandwidth (2.5GHz). The ADRF6521 offers flexibility by operating from a single +5V supply or a range of dual supplies and consumes a total supply current of 200mA. When fully disabled, the ADRF6521 consumes a typical 25mA.
The ADRF6521 VGA is fabricated in an advanced silicon-germanium BiCMOS process and is available in a 20-lead, exposed pad, 3mm × 3mm LFCSP package. Performance is specified over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
