Exascend PR4 Radiation Tolerant PCIe Solid State Drives
Exascend PR4 Radiation Tolerant PCIe Solid State Drives (SSDs) are designed for aerospace, defense, and other demanding applications where reliable data storage is critical. Available in an M.2 2280 form factor, the drives combine 3D TLC NAND flash, DDR4 DRAM, and Exascend’s PhoenixCore4 architecture to deliver fast, dependable performance. Supporting PCIe Gen4 x4 connectivity, the PR4 series delivers sequential read speeds up to 3230MB/s and write speeds up to 2910MB/s, while specialized design features such as conformal coating and underfill help protect the drive in radiation-exposed and mechanically harsh environments.
The PR4 series offers capacities from 480GB to 7.68TB and incorporates advanced reliability features. These reliability features include LDPC error correction, wear leveling, and a 2 million-hour MTBF rating. The drives also support temperature monitoring, PCIe power management, optional AES-256 hardware encryption, and hardware power-loss protection on select models. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the Exascend PR4 SSDs are well-suited for satellites, avionics, rugged embedded systems, and other mission-critical platforms that require high-speed storage with dependable endurance and data integrity.
