Ambient light sensors are used to measure the environment’s light level. VCNT2020 Reflective Sensor with Transistor Output

Vishay VCNT2020 Reflective Optical Sensor with Transistor Output has 1.6mA output current in a miniature SMD package. The emitting light source and the detector with silicon phototransistor are arranged in the same plane in a compact construction. When the sensor detects reflected infrared light from a nearby object, it triggers the sensor analogue output signal. The VCNT2020 sensor greatly suppresses disturbing ambient light with an integrated daylight blocking filter. This increases signal to noise ratio.
