SV8012x 12A High Junction Temperature SCRs

Littelfuse SV8012x 12A High Junction Temperature SCRs offer low date current and high dv/dt performance. These SCRs feature up to 120A surge capability at 60Hz half cycle and 150°C maximum junction temperature. The SV8012x SCRs are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and are recognized to UL1557 as electrically semiconductor devices. These SCRs include internally constructed isolated packages for ease of heat sinking with high isolation voltage. The SV8012x are used in AC Generator (ACG) rectifiers, battery voltage regulators, generic converters, and inrush current controllers in AC to DC applications. These SCRs are also used in power tools and white goods appliances.

SVxx12-25xx High Junction Temperature SCRs

Littelfuse SVxx12-25xx High Junction Temperature SCRs feature a low gate current trigger level of 6mA or 10mA maximum at approximately 1.5V. The SVxx12-25xx SCRs operate at -40°C to +150°C junction temperature range and 600V voltage rating. These SCRs are used in applications such as phase control in heating, motor speed controls, converters/rectifiers, inrush current control, and capacitive discharge ignitions.

Electrical Vehicle DC Fast Chargers

DC charging stations are designed to convert the electrical grid’s AC power into DC power that can then be fed directly into a vehicle’s battery system for fast charging – in 30 minutes or less. Because the conversion from AC to DC power is being done in the charging station, these units can provide higher levels of power (50kW to 350kW and beyond) to the vehicle compared to AC charging stations. Working with tens to hundreds of kilowatts of power, efficient conversion, reliability of the system, and user safety are critical.
