Fastener Applications in Commercial ESS

PEM Fastener Applications in Commercial Energy Storage Systems (ESS) include fasteners for every component of a battery ESS. PEM fasteners are IP-rated for ingress protection and fully tested to protect electric vehicle (EV) components from the elements. The fasteners expand and contract to keep joints sealed after thermal expansion. PEM mechanical bolted joints are easy to disassemble and reassemble. SI (Standard Inserts) Press-In Inserts are designed to be installed by pressing the inserts into pre-molded or drilled holes. The installation is accomplished using a standard press at any time during production. These inserts eliminate the need for heat or ultrasonic equipment and molding inserts. The press-in inserts are available in aluminum, brass, steel, and stainless steel materials. Typical applications include electronics (wearable, smartphones, and hand-held devices), automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, transportation, and industrial and recreational equipment.
