Standalone Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs)

Microchip Technology Standalone Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) deliver high precision, low power consumption, and small size at up to 200Mega samples per second (Msps) for conversion of analog-to-digital signals. These ADCs can help overcome design challenges by allowing users to choose the correct ADC for low-power designs. Microchip designed these ADCs to operate in high temperatures and high electromagnetic environments. Most of them come with AEC-Q100-qualified automotive qualifications, providing the reliability required for automotive and industrial applications.

MCP3221 A/D Converters

Microchip Technology MCP3221 A/D Converters are successive approximation analog to digital converters with 12-bit resolution. These Microchip A/D converters are based on advanced CMOS technology and provide a maximum standby current of 1µA and 250µA conversion current. The MCP3221 A/D converters feature single-ended input, low power consumption, on-chip conversion clock, I2C™ compatible serial interface, on-chip sample, and hold. These A/D converters communicate via a 2-wire I2C compatible interface, which includes both 100kHz standard and 400kHz fast modes.

Automotive Analog Products

Designers of electronic control modules within the automobile are being challenged to deliver increased performance in a variety of systems, including powertrain, chassis, comfort, driver information, entertainment, and safety. Microchip Technology's broad portfolio of low-power analog products enables the development of cost-effective solutions that address these challenges and others facing the system designer. As one of the first companies to apply Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) technology to the development process for analog products, Microchip has utilized its NVM experience to deliver innovative analog solutions with unchallenged electrical characteristics.
