SESD Silicon ESD SPA Protection Devices

Littelfuse SESD Silicon ESD SPA Protection Devices help protect electronic circuits against damage from Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), surge, and cable discharge events. These protection devices offer low capacitance, low leakage current, and low clamping voltage in a small, low-profile 0201 and 0402 DFN package. Littelfuse SESD Silicon ESD Protection Devices have an ESD maximum rating per IEC61000-4-2 standard of 20kV contact discharge and 20kV air discharge. Ideal applications include ultra-high speed data lines, USB 3.1 and more, HDMI 2.0 and more, Thunderbolt, DisplayPort™, V-by-One®, LVDS interfaces, tablet PCs and external storage with high-speed interfaces, and consumer, mobile, and portable electronics.

USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection

Littelfuse USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection delivers overcurrent and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection while maintaining USB 3.1 Type C data integrity. The host and all self-powered hubs must implement overcurrent protection for safety purposes and the hub must have a way to detect the overcurrent condition and report it to the USB software. Polymeric PTCs from Littelfuse provide an ideal solution for overcurrent protection. Promoting high signal integrity on the data lines of USB 3.1 Type C interfaces offers benchmark-settling, silicon-based, low-capacitance ESD protection while providing effective ESD protection on the VBUS, USB 2.0, and control lines of the interface.
