TPS542A52EVM-059 Converter Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments TPS542A52EVM-059 Converter Evaluation Module (EVM) allows users to evaluate the TPS542A52. The TPS542A52 is a fixed frequency with non-compensation external synchronous buck converter with integrated MOSFETs. It provides a fixed 1V output at up to 15A from a 12V input bus. The evaluation module features two fully independent circuits. The first circuit is the lower half or bottom circuit of the evaluation module (denoted by U1). This circuit maximizes efficiency and performance of the TPS542A52 in applications that are less constrained by layout area. The second circuit is the upper half or top circuit of the evaluation module (denoted by U1_2). This circuit highlights the small layout area (17mm × 14mm) that is required by the Texas Instruments TPS542A52 converter and all external components while still delivering high performance and efficiency for space-critical applications.
