The planar technology makes this device compatible with high-end circuits where low leakage current and high junction temperature are required for reliability and stability. STMicroelectronics SMA6TY are packaged in SMA (SMA footprint per IPC 7531 standard).

Automotive Power-Rail TVS Devices

STMicroelectronics Automotive Power-Rail TVS Devices protect sensitive automotive circuits against surges and ESD discharges. They are used in applications for smart junction boxes, relay protection, and power-line protection. Features include ISO 7637-2 pulse 5A and 5B standard-compliant against surges, IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO 10605 compliant against electrostatic discharges, and automotive grade qualified with additional automotive surge testing.
