Hammond Manufacturing Arduino Development Board Platforms are molded to allow easy access to I/O connectors, often used controls and/or LEDs and allow easy installation of shields. The bottom of platforms accept Hammond Manufacturing's 3 AAA battery holder (part number BH3AAAW) or 4 AAA battery holder (part number BH4AAAW). Mounting holes are molded into the bottom to accept popular interlocking plastic bricks for added expandability.
