Reliable surge protection is a critical design consideration to help ensure operational reliability of consumer electronics, industrial/communication equipment, automotive, battery charging, energy storage infrastructure, and renewable energy harvesting ecosystems.

ZV & ZVHT SMD Low-Voltage Varistors

Bourns ZV and ZVHT SMD Low-Voltage Varistors are designed to replace larger surface-mount TVS Zener Diodes in many applications. Two types are available: ZV (Low Voltage) and ZVHT (Low Voltage, High Temperature). The varistors protect sensitive electronic devices against high-voltage surges in the low-voltage region. The series offers excellent transient energy absorption due to improved energy volume distribution and power dissipation. The components cover a wide DC operating voltage range from 3V to 170V. The varistors also exhibit independent suppression characteristics, enabling stable protection over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +125°C (ZV) and -55°C to +150°C (ZVHT). Bourns ZV and ZVHT applications include the protection of integrated circuits and other components at the circuit board level.

KEKO-Varicon Circuit Protection

Bourns KEKO-Varicon Circuit Protection product offering includes overvoltage protective and EMI suppression components. All KEKO-Varicon products have been fully integrated into the Bourns corporate structure. Bourns KEKO-Varicon Circuit Protection products can be designed for various low voltage board level (LVBL), telecommunication, automotive electronics, AC-line, transient voltage surge suppression (TVSS), medical, and high-energy industrial equipment applications.
